  • We look to partner with professionals that are passionate about professional development, serving, and driven to positively contribute to the transformation of the accounting profession and to turning the tide of declining performance within the professional examinations.
  • Minimum academic requirements to join our mentorship programme: For CTA and IAC mentorship programme, we require you to have completed IAC whilst for ABC and APC mentorship programme, we require that you have qualified a CA in good standing or that they have completed the APC.
  • Before being allocated a mentee, you are required to attend a 90 – 120 minutes orientation session.
  • The orientation session for the 2025 academic programme will be held in March / April 2025. Further details will be shared on our Viva Engage platform.
  • During the session, we will communicate the objectives of the mentorship programme across our programmes, the benefits of the mentorship to both the mentors and the mentees and the expected commitment required through the mentorship programme.
  • Mentors will have an opportunity to have any of the questions answered during the training / welcome session.
ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITIES
  • To join our academic team, you need to have a passionate for teaching.
  • Although prior experience is preferred and advantageous, it is not a requisite. Our senior programmes such as ABC, APC and IAC however do require prior lecturing experience given their level of integration and sophistication.
  • If you do not have lecturing experience, you may be required to start with marking activities to build the level of candidate engagement we expect from our lecturing team.
  • For the lecturing opportunities, there are additional requirements prior to being appointed, such as an interview process/meeting with our Academic Head, etc.
MARKING OPPORTUNITIES
  • To mark IAC assessments, you need to have completed IAC or be registered in our APC Professional Programme
  • To mark APC assessments, you need to have completed the SAICA/ICAN/ICAZ APC assessment and/or be a qualified chartered accountant
  • Kindly note that we have amended our appointment policy to prioritise the appointment of active mentors in either our ABC, APC, CIMA, IAC and CTA Programme. If you are mentor, your appointment will be prioritised.
  • As a candidate in the Endunamoo APC Professional Programme, your appointment for CTA and IAC assessments may be prioritised for developmental purpose.
  • Please note that no new markers will be appointed without having completed the ‘New Markers’ Training’.
  • As from the 2024 academic year, we will be only appointing APC markers provided that they have previously marked APC at SAICA or marked our developmental assessments (i.e. Foundation, Demonstration and/or Baseline). Otherwise, appointment will be by special arrangement only.

WELCOME PACKS: Based on your interests, you will receive one or more detailed welcome packs from our mentorship, marking support and/or academic team(s). These packs will provide you with information about your role, responsibilities, expectations, payment, training and a yearly schedule of our contractor activities.

TRAINING: Before you can start working with us, you need to complete one of the following tasks: watch the video tutorials on mentorship and/or marking, or have a conversation with our academic team leader. This is a mandatory part of your onboarding process. You will not be appointed until you finish this task.

  • Our mentorship programme is a voluntary based candidate development programme that is underpinned by our need to deliver a personal touch across all our programmes.
  • Developed in 2018, the mentorship programme has achieved tremendous success for our CTA and IAC candidates, with candidates participating in the mentorship programme consistently achieving a much higher success than those that are not in the mentorship programme.
  • We partner with professionals that have a strong desire to help others succeed, desire to develop or pass on a growth mindset and have the time to commit to the mentorship journey – may it be connecting with mentees via WhatsApp, virtual video-conference facilities such as Zoom or Teams, face-to-face meetings or call occasionally. These are the attributes that we believe strongly resonate with the fundamental principles of our brand: Empower & Inspire Others as well as our own philosophy of expert learning with a personal touch.
  • The journey of mentorship provides a mutually beneficial relationship between the mentees and mentors as it aims to enhance both the mentors’ emotional intelligence, leadership and coaching, business acumen and effective communication skills. This is while developing and enhancing the mentees’ skills in business acumen, time management, career management, ethical leadership, and effective communication skills.
  • To enhance the value of our mentorship programme, we offer marking opportunities in our CTA, IAC and APC programmes to all our mentors in order to help them have an intimate understanding of the issues that our candidates face during assessments. We believe that this empowers our mentors to engage meaningfully and efficiently with their mentees during their mentorship meetings. In turn, through their engagements with the mentees and our professional team, the mentors contribute to the enhancement of the value of our academic and professional programmes.
